Reducing inequalities in health is a key goal of the Investing for Health Strategy in Northern Ireland. It is also one of two health themes for the UK Presidency of the EU and as such has generated a wide range of activity and actions over recent months. A summit on health inequalities was held in London in October 2005 with over 570 delegates from 36 countries.
